Respectance.com will solche „virtuellen Grabsteine“ anbieten. Der Gründer hält es für ein großartiges Geschäftsmodell. Mit der Zahl der auch im Netz lebenden Menschen steigt auch die Anzahl dort wahrgenommener Todesfälle. Da die Internetpopulation jünger als die normale Bevölkerung ist, kommt dies noch selten vor. The only showcase which really stuck in my head was Respectance. Initially I thought it was one of the worst ideas of all time. I was expecting it to be monetized via ads for coffins. But the more I think about it, the more I think they may have a winner. I want to write about my late Grandaunt and whilst I’ll probably do it on my blog, I may give Respectance a go too. (more)

Last week, our sister site reported that memorial multimedia site Respectance, which operates out of San Francisco and Krakow was in line for some funding from a Dutch group. In the meantime we had an email from Solid Ventures, saying that it is the sole investor in the startup's Series A round. The size of the deal is not disclosed. (more)
