There are so many heroically brave people , like Salih, who take their pursuit for the truth (and doing what's right) very seriously. He seems to have been a man of integrity and courage. I admire his story immensely and send all my respect his way.
They tried to silence him, but his death speaks volumes. He once told his office manager, "what's life, really, if we don't leave something good behind us?" Because of his tireless reporting, this brave journalist accomplished just that.
Please give Saif Aldin's family our deep, deep sorrow upon this terrible news.
Tell them how much we appreciate all the hard work he did to help us understand the real circumstances of the ordinary people of Iraq and what they have been enduring.
He has truly lived up to the motto he voiced: "What is life, if we don't leave something good behind us?"
He left much good in his wake for which we are truly grateful.
Tell them for us he will be in our thoughts and prayers.
His work actually contributed to peace and understanding between us.
He was a remarkable, brave and handsome young man.
God bless them and soothe their grief.
blessings...
