Marcus Mathes Tribute

I am incredibly sorry to say that I never got to meet Marcus. I browsed Julia's myspace page regularly, though, and I've seen oodles of photographs of him and of the two of them together. I have also heard Chuck and Lynda, his in-laws, rave about him. The first time I watched Julia's OIF 2007 video, I was in tears because it was so touching. I remember watching it twice in a row because I thought it was such a sweet, loving tribute to her husband. I was instantly charmed by Marcus' mega-watt smile and by his obvious adoration of Julia.

I always imagined future family get-togethers with all of us hugging, talking, and laughing together. It's just so hard to believe he's gone.
