Alan, I will always remember the many coffees and lunches we shared either at your place or at Cafe' Bassano as it was then known. I'd turn up at your house to a warm welcome, the coffee would be on, the chocolate would come out of the cupboard and then we'd sit around talking computers or aviation. Once in a while Iris would pop her head into the room. I remember you used to sulk like my late father if I could not get there or heaven forbid I forgot! It was an honour to be your friend. Ingmar
