Alex as a child. He looks just like his son now, in this picture! check out the pictures, and see how Alex lives on through his children, I will forever look into his face when I look at our children! and even though it is hard now, it is a happy feeling to know just how much of their dad lives in them. We miss you!

I was thinking about the first week Alex spent with his kids after they where born, it was so funny to watch him hold them, they were tiny and he thought he was gonna break them, He had this almost panicy* yet such a loving tender touch all at once! I remember Brooklynn and Ashton Rotated on Who was going to sleep on Daddy's chest while they and he napped, how they could sleep through the snoring I'll never know! Hehe! The way he would make faces and laugh about how such a tiny baby could make such a stink when changing them, and how often they had to be changed! Ashton Got his daddy good, when Alex gave him his first bath, We were in the kitchen and had Ashton set up in the baby bath, Alex was Wiping him off just as gentle as could be and then all of a sudden Ashton pees, ALL OVER ALEX!!! instead of grabbing the wash cloth to cover it up, he jumps back laughing as he watches his son pee all over the the wall and fridge! oh, but you know Alex, it didnt take him but one time to learn to keep it coverd up! I dont think the whole week he was there he ever wasnt holding atleast one, and how when they would be asleeep he would want to wake them up just to hold them.....and even would at times! We all learned quickly what sleep deprivation was all about even with the three of us there, the twins were deffinately a handful, a beautiful handful! The week flew by and it was time for him to go back to Cuba, I have never seen a man cry and not want to leave something so bad, but didnt have a choice! He loved them, he had bonded with his children.

I wish I had known Alex had twins. I am sorry I did not get to share in his joy. I live in Indiana and did not get news on what was going on in his world. I wish some day to meet his children . Please keep adding pictures of the children. This is not a easy time for his mother and I'm sure this will give her some form of peace. I am his aunt Barb.

I am very happy that Alex had some children of his own. He was so good with the kids in our family and they loved hime endlessly. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. We will keep his memory alive for years to come and the pictures help those of us that werent able to say "goodbye"
