This March 10, 2013 will mark 25 years since we lost Andy. I need to live a good life so that I can go to Heaven, I want a front row seat to the Gibb brothers reunion concert. Love you Andy, and Can't wait to meet you one day.

It's been 22 years since you've been gone, but you haven't been forgotten. At the time of your death, I was 14 years old and I still remember my family discussing how shocked they were when they heard the news. You're a great performer and an inspiration for many still today. Rest in peace!

Born in New York City, the son of advertising executive Lamont Waltman Marvin and his wife Courtenay Washington Davidge,[1] a fashion writer, Lee Marvin (his birth name, contrary to some sources) attended St. Leo Preparatory College in Saint Leo, Florida (now known as Saint Leo University) after being thrown out of several schools for bad behavior. He left school to join the U.S. 5th Marine Division, serving as a sniper. Marvin was wounded in action during the WWII battle of Saipan, eight months prior to the battle of Iwo Jima. Most of his platoon were killed during the battle. This had a significant effect on Marvin for the rest of his life.[1] He was sent home with a medical discharge and a rank of PFC. While working as a plumber's assistant, repairing a toilet at a local community theater in upstate New York, Marvin was asked to replace an actor who had fallen ill during rehearsals. He then established an amateur off-Broadway acting career in New York City and was an understudy in Broadway productions before moving to Hollywood in 1950.
