My deepest sympathies to the parents and families of the Boys from Bathurst. You are in my prayers and thoughts at this difficult time. We little knew that morning that God was going to call your names. In life we loved you dearly. In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories. Your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the Chain will link again.

My heart goes out to the families of all of these boys. They were all so handsome and seemed to have such promising futures, it is just so sad. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I can only hope that people speak as highly of my children, as they do of the "boys in red". You must be so proud...

I can only offer words to the families. I wish that I could do more. My heart goes out to each and everyone affected by this terribly tragic event. Although I never knew any of these fine young men, it's hard not to feel part of the bigger community. God bless the Mom's, Dad's, sister and brothers of these boys. I watched the memorial service yesterday, and will be forever touched by what I heard and saw. These boys will never be forgotten and I am sorry I couldn't do more.

The mountains don't seem as high, once you climb them. My sincere condolences and my thoughts and prayers go to all in Bathurst. After visiting Bathurst a few times lately, I'm confident that the strength and community bond that I witnessed while there...will pull everyone thru this tragedy and strengthen even more what was already solid and true..God Bless the families, friends and classmates of the eight that Bathurst has lost. The mountains don't seem as high, once you climb them.

I am the athletic director at a small Christian school in Pennsylvannia. Earlier this year 2 of our soccer players went home to heaven in a car accident. We are still recovering as a school family. I cannot begin to comprehend or understand how you are feeling and how this tragedy will affect your school. It is my hope that your entire student body will rally around one another and grow stronger through this time of great loss. My prayers go out to you in this time of great sadness. I hope that you will find peace, comfort and strength that will see you through this time of grief.

As a mother of a 17 year old, I just can't imagine your pain. To see the pain on the faces of the friends and families of the boys that lost their lives is heart breaking. I'm from Nova Scotia living in Ontario but my heart is with you as you struggle to understand WHY. God has a plan for all of us. Someday we will know WHY. You will all be together again. Just take comfort in that fact. I will pray that God will give each and everyone of you the strenght to go on.

My family was very involved with high school basketball in Nova Scotia, and I remember many a weekend where my Dad, the coach, was driving the van with the team in it - the team my brother was the star of and my sister was the manager of. I am reminded of how much joy that experience we all shared as a family brought us...so this tragedy has deeply, deeply touched me. The support of your community has been so amazing to watch and I will keep you in my thoughts for a long, long time to come.

I grew up in Milton, Ontario where we experienced a similar tragedy with the loss of a group of young people and a high school teacher in car accidents. As teenagers, it was the first time for many to experience the loss of a loved one, a friend, coach and mentor taken so suddenly and too young. It was a powerful experience to see a community come together to share our grief and comfort one another. The comfort and support will be essential to help heal the families who lost their children and the coach who lost a spouse not to mention the anguish the survivors feel. Remember to celebrate the good times shared with those who have passed away before us and their unique qualities. These memories are precious and although painful to recall now will be treasured momentos that will provide comfort in the coming days, months and years. I wish you all peace of mind and heart and will continue to include all of you in my prayers. When a tragedy such as this takes place and outstanding people are taken from our world I believe it is because God needs extra special Angels to help him with his work. Please take comfort in the knowledge that we now have 8 special Angels looking out for us all now. With much love, Lisa Blinn & Family

When I must Leave You When I must leave you for a little while, Please do not grieve and shed wild tears, and hug your sorrow to you through the years. But start out bravely with a gallant smile; And for my sake and in my name Live on and do all things the same, Feed not your loneliness on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways. Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer, And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near; And never, never be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky. To the families, friends, and the community of Bathurst, my thoughts are with you all and I pray that you find the stength you need to bring you through what will be the most difficlt time of your lives. Take care of each other and may the peace of Our Lord be with you all, God Bless.
