I will never forget Casey's cheerful presence in the office. Or capturing those rare moments when I saw Casey and her Dad, Mark Hardman, catching up in the office tea room. You could see just what great pals they were. Like a sparkling comet, Casey is gone to soon.

Dear Mr & Mrs Hardman. We have never met your family but I came across your tragic loss whilst surfing the net. We too lost our daughter, Claire on the 7th November last, 3 days before her 27th birthday. Claire was hit by a lorry, which was being driven by an unlicensed driver whilst crossing the border from Malawi into Zambia. There are no words I can say to you that will even begin to ease your loss; it is all consuming, and a horrific time for you all. I doubt if either my wife or I will ever feel happy again although we both know we will feel “less hurt” at some distant point in time. That at least is our goal. I think the only advice I can offer you is don’t be afraid to cry and let people know how you are feeling, talk to your wife and son about it and try to remember all the happy times you had with your daughter. That is what we are trying to do. My youngest daughter came across this poem, which I sometimes read when I am feeling low. "A butterfly alights beside us like a sunbeam. And for a brief moment its glory and beauty belong to our world. But then it flies on again, and though we wish it could have stayed, we feel so lucky to have seen it...."
