I am sorry for your loss... The day I saw that episode I cried and all I wanted to do was give Jake a hug... I may not know you personally but I have a very big heart and when I see people cry I cry and just want to comfort them. I have seen Chelsea's picture and she was very beautiful. <3

Dear family of Chelsea, I dont know what it's like to loose someone so close but I know it must hurt. But I read about Chelsea on a website a friend of hers had made and it was really nice. I wish I could have a great friend like Chelsea. But from the way I have heard things she was a big kid all of her life. I hope closure can be found for you guys. I also heard about her father and I am very sorry for that too, you guys have had alot to deal with, and I think you should press the police further because way more can be done to find out what happened. Sending love and prayers.

Jake and Family I too lost a brother when I was 13, he was 16 yr old. He was a scholar and artist with a rare 3 heart deformities. His life and passing shaped my life to this day. It still is difficult for me when Jake states, "she is more beautiful than anyone now".My brother was teased in school his whole life, with me defending him and my heart hurting for him all thru school. Kids can be so cruel. But all this gave me a scope on life that molded my giving and caring for other people. It made me a strong person and the best person I can be everyday. Things in life happen for a reason....recently I lost another brother who was a nat'l merit scholar and a geologist. He was healthy, but alas a heart attack took him one saturday morning sipping his coffee at 45. He was a pillar of strength in his community and active community leader. That hurt more than anyone can imagine. I was so lost, but again I took the good out of that and moved forward and look at each day as a GIFT. Just 8 months ago I lost my sister who had contracted MS from a staph infection in her leg from a hospital(while visiting my father having heart surgery) . Yes, she passed from contracting a staph infection from a hospital.Yes, I now appreciate my 2 brothers that are still here everyday. Life never stops teaching us lessons of how we are all so vulnerable. As your life goes on, your family will realize how much she brought to your life, and it will continue to change all of your lives in many good ways. My brother at 13 made me work very hard at everything I do in life. Thus why I have enjoyed "deadliest catch" from the very first episode. I have watched every episode of deadliest catch, because it again teaches a lesson.....I will never complain about my career environment EVER! My 5 kids(2 sets of twins)appreciate the warm weather in Florida also.We never complain of the price of crab ever!!! Keep up the good work on the show demonstrating what REAL life is all about. This is what makes the show amazing. You take care of your sisters and mom! Mostly remember all those times you laughed with your sister having fun as you grew up. Bless your family! Keep smiling!

Jake, I am sure your sister was a special person. I too have pain as my constant companion, although I am sure that your sister bore it much better than I am. I loved your comment about how she was beautiful and healthy now that she is out of her tabernacle of clay! Unfortunately I look forward to having that peace for myself. May you somehow find your Jesus through this and may his richest blessings be with you and your family. May God be with you and your Alaskan brothers, Jon

This is so sad, I didn't know of this young lady, I learned of her story while reading a article on aol where Jake is askling for help to find his father. I was interested in learning more about her when I heard of her arthritis and death at such a young age from pneumonia. It scared me today to realize how quickly my family could lose their loved ones. My two neices and nephew have had arthritis since they were toddlers and the oldest is now 22 and in a college that is hard to get accepted to. I guess I always knew there is the possiblility of death early due not only to the complications that come with the arthritis but the amounts of medications these children have been on since they were toddlers and the many trial medications their mother has had the older two test, leaving more damage. Their immunity is down and I am aware that the 7 year old has had chicken pox 4 times already, yes I know chicken pox usually only should occur once but she had received the vaccine early on and it made things worse for her. After reading this I cherish every single day these children are in our lives. I pray for the safe return of this family's father, so much loss in such a short time. Hopefully this family gets their father home safe.

I am a fan of the Deadliest Catch and the crew of the F/V Northwestern is my favorite crew. Jake Anderson is a young man that I have an enormous amount of respect for. This is a kid that works extremely hard at a very difficult and dangerous job to help support his family. Jake was extremely close to his sister Chelsea, which is why it was difficult for me to witness the pain he endured when he was told she passed away. The Anderson family knows that their daughter and sister Chelsea was indeed an angel that had descended to earth. An earth that was so richly blessed with well over 30 years of her existence here. She has now ascended to gods loving embrace for eternity until her family joins her in parardise. I also had the displeasure of reading today that Jakes father is missing. I hope the Anderson family receives good news of his whereabouts. Lord knows they have been through enough. God bless you all!!!

Dear Anderson Family, I lost my oldest daughter Shamblin on 11/27/2005 at the age of 18. What got us through the first year was everyone's memories of her and the thought that she was flying with the angels. God Bless You and Your Family.

the only association i have with the anderson family is watching "deadliest catch" and seeing jake take his very first trip with the Northwestern crew earning the jacket he so admired, and the respect from the crew, especially from sid and his brother, i took a special liking to jake, cute kid. the episode when he gets the news of his sisters passing I was deeply drawn and emotionally attached to jake from then on and have often wondered how he was doing lately until today when i read headlines of his fathers disappearence, i pray for him and his loved ones and hope they are strong and together they will heal, god bless you

I can relate to Jake's loss and I understand the pain his family is going through and the only thing that I can say is that Chelsea will always be with them her love will always be part of them. They were extremely blessed to have such angel to be part of their lives.

May you rest in peace Chelsea, and may you be comforted by the Grace of God. I really saw a different side of your brother Jake, when he got the news of your passing. I saw exactly how much he loved you, and it was POWERFUL! May your family be at ease knowing you will not suffer any longer on earth. But you will REIGN IN HEAVEN. God bless you and your family. I never met any of the Anderson family but my family & I watch Jake & his "family" from the Northwestern and saw the pain in his eyes and Nick's when they learned of the news. My neighbor growing him had rheumatoid arthritis so I could only imagine what she has gone through. May she rest in peace and enjoy eternal happiness in heaven where she is no longer confined in a body that doesn't match her spirit. Our prayers have been with you and your family.

I did not know beautiful Chelsea or her family... though, I feel as though the men of the Bering Sea (Deadliest Catch) are my family. So many of us cry and are touched by those brave men. Jake - her brother, loved her so dearly, so deeply. Chelsea was his best friend ... ... May God continue to give you strength, comfort and peace. She's his angel now.. watching over all of you. She's smiling and laughing with you.... Kat, Oceanside, CA
