A truly humble and unselfish man whose comforting words and friendly manner always made us feel needed and valued. He provided inspiration and motivation through quiet dedication and personal example to those lucky enough to work with and for him. A wonderful friend and true gentleman. He will be sorely missed. Rest in peace.

David was our much-loved and respected classmate at the Royal Military College, DUNTROON (Class of '87). A fellow who was quietly intelligent and articulate, David's perpetual calmness and serenity was always a source of strength in the maelstrom that was the officer training environment. David would never hesitate to take the time to help those of us that were not blessed with his inner wisdom, knowledge and experience. Certainly, that is how I will always remember him: a quiet, gentle and loving man whose generosity of spirit and self was, and is, an inspiration to us all. I consider myself privileged to have known, and count as a friend, such a fine man as David. He will never be forgotten.
