I lived on Norfolk Island for many years & whilst a young age Deirdre & myself were long time boy & Girlfriend, sharing days at the Emily Bay, movies on saturday nights. Due to family illness I was forced to return to Sydney. Deirdre & I wrote fto each othe for a long time. She even asked me to attend her sister's, Adrienne wedding at All Saints Church Parramatta. Time passed & eventually I recieved a letter that 'she had found someone else, and I could start loving someone else.. A letter I still carry with me in my wallet every where I go. I was searching for years to find Deirdre to return the letter & talk over old times at Norfolk. I am shattered to find I will never be able to pass on the letter. A long time has passed but I will never forget my childhood Deirdre

Greg, I remember those times well. They were the best of times. Without them life would be so much emptier. Nothing is the same without her and I will miss her until the day I die. She was my best friend in the whole world, my staunchest supporter and my strongest advocate. I am shattered beyond belief. But take comfort in the knowledge that she is alright. She has shown me her new place and she is still recovering but serene and happy. She was a girl who knew her own mind and wasn't afraid to show it. Carry those precious memories in your heart and she is with you always. As her twin you can imagine what it is like for me.
