Col Ramsey provided me with great support in the year that I boarded at Scots - my first year away from home. I felt an additional connection in that my father (also a Colonel Don) knew him well through a shared military background and I always felt he was there to help. Stephen
What a wonderful inspiration Donald has been to all especially many people he had personal contact with over his long life. He will be sadly missed and never be forgotten for his kindness and consideration. Following is a link to one of Donald's lectures from a publication rather topically appropriately called 'DUTY FIRST'. http://www.rarnsw.org.au/image/DutyFirstArchive/Duty_First_Ramsay.pdf Other Links http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/our-unsung-barefoot-heroes/2007/04/24/1177180652776.html?page=fullpage http://www.arrse.co.uk/charities-welfare/165023-welfare-isue-colonel-donald-ramsay-oam-help-requested-urgent.html http://us-army-support-thailand.50megs.com/Locator/m000009.htm http://www.army.gov.au/ahu/docs/To_Find_a_Path_Volume_II_Part_5a.pdf http://blog.kokodatreks.com/2011/01/19/rsl-national-congress-rejects-motion-to-lobby-government-to-change-the-name-of-the-kokoda-trail-to-kokoda-track/ http://www.keep45alive.org.au/index_files/Page1374.htm John JOHN VAUGHAN
