Dear Francine, Although I only knew you from Strings section of the school orchestra at Carey and from time to time our paths would cross at school my thoughts would often drift to you and wonder where you are at in life. You were a unique person, so wise in your own way. Was so looking forward to catching up with you at our 25th school reunion in 2011 but saddened to hear that your life was cut short 3 months before. This is not the end, we will meet again someday.

Dear Fran, What a beautiful person you were in life, and still are to me now, in memories, and in thoughts. We're riding the tram together, and on gets a young guy bleeding from the head. He is in obvious pain, and either scared or embarrassed. Everyone on the tram is taken aback, a little shocked, and I'm sure each of us really wish he'll be ok, and start to think through what we should do, if anything, whilst we look away, pretending nothing is wrong - ostensibly so as not to add to his embarrassment, but really so as not to add to our own. Except you. You immediately rush down to him, produce a tissue from somewhere an give it to him, looking at his wound, and asking directly if he is ok. Caring for him. A total stranger. That was some twenty years ago, but your compassion and humanity remain with me, and I love you for it. I miss your humor, your quiet fearlessness, and you, Matt.

My darling daughter how can I go on living without you. Where can I turn for spiritual inspiration?.You were always there for me when I needed you. You knew I was vulnerable and you inspired me with strength and we shared a bond that no person can break. They will try but they will not succeed because we are mother and daughter. I feel your presence , I know you will always be at my side. your loving Ma.

My darling daughter I will go on grieving your loss until the day I die . Without you I have lost part of my self and the spiritual guide I would always turn to in times of trouble. How can I carry on without you .At least it will not be too long. Ma

Dear Francine - we sat together in Carey orchestras in the mid 80's. You were a fine musician of extraordinary sensitivity and musicality. Way back then as a teenager you had a wisdom and insight way beyond your years. In fact on reflection you seemed to be from another world and time. My image of you is of a fragile crimson rose in pale moonlight. May your gifts shine forever in our hearts. Love from Alicia

Francine, as young people your integrity, wisdom and gentle humor touched and enlightened me. These traits would have enabled you a rich and interesting life I am sure. Whenever I have thought of you over the years it is with the twinkle in your eye that always accompanied your gentle smile ( often at my antics) and knowing nod. Thank you for the moments that you shared that opened up different ways of seeing and listening in the world for me. Fiona Stewart

Francine, when we were young I remember your integrity, wisdom and gentle humor. These traits would have enabled you to lead an interesting and creative life for sure. Whenever I have thought of you over the years it is with the twinkle in your eye that always accompanied your slow smile (often at my antics) and knowing nod. Thank you for the moments you shared with me that opened me up to a different way of seeing and listening to the world that has enriched my life. Fiona Stewart

Dearest Francine, my friend. You were a girl and woman of grace and spirituality, now a spirit in a more 'essential' place. You are a beautiful soul whom Ialways knew as having the kindest yet deepest insights into others and the nature of our lives. You always showed an ever flowing, warm compassion. Your ethics and goodness are intrinsic to you. I believe your soul is still with us and that your light is shining even more brightly, freed from the difficult worldy casing. With all my love Frannie. Meaghan xo
