Harry was one of the few truly kind men I have met in my life. I don't mean that I meet only mean people (!) rather that Harry's generosity of spirit was exceptional. He had an encouraging word for everyone and many is the time that I have had my own spirit lifted by his cheery greeting. Harry has achieved immortality as he will live on in the hearts of countless men and women around the world.
I do not think I can find words to say what Harry C meant to me and countless others who were trying to sort out their lives after Alcohol. If someone were to ask me to define humility in action I think I would say Harry C. His Story (ES&H) meant that this Alcoholic did not need to go to the bottom to know what it would be like Harry C had been there and he told me. If there is a 'life after' this then I am sure if I mange to die as he did Harry C will be there chairing my first meeting of AA after Death. Bless You Harry you touched me as you did countless others
Harry was one of the first people that Brian and I met when we moved to Dubai in 1984. In a world of amazing stories, Harry's was extraordinary. I shall never forget the first time I heard it. He was inspirational in the way that he lived his life for others.
