Howard was a trainee in 1941 in Southern Rhodesia in WWII as part of the Empire Air Training Scheme, and later joined 458 Squadron with several other Rhodesian-trainees. He was an extremely modest man, and always a thorough gentleman, who had been a strong supporter of the RAAF/Rhodesia Association. Respected and missed by our Members. - Martin Jackson, Secretary.
