A great mind, enormous energy, a fierce defender of fairness and justice, and a generous, humorous, true gentleman, Jim Tynne will live long in the hearts of others - "we shall not look upon his like again".

John and I just learned of James' passing and send you, Victoria, and the boys our deepest sympathy. What a fighter he was, and how brave he was during his long illness. He just carried on, and when we last met in the street, spoke so positively and happily to us.
