I remeber when we were kids he and his family lived next door to my oldest sister. We used to play all over the Ridge. He was a great person and this world will be be little bit less bright with out him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My cousin Jim was so brave and so sweet. I am glad I got to finally meet him and although we were not close- we were close. I Loved my cousin and did not know of what he was going through. I hope that somehow, someway in the midst of this sorrowful time the family knows that Jim will never be forgotten; for his memory will live on within our hearts and hold dear to the memories we share. I hope no one blames God, I can not imagine the pain of loosing a child but I know that God has a plan and we are all just a flower fading away each day! God Bless you Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Linda Becky and Shaun. I am so sad, my heart is breaking. Jim will be a " shooting star" I Love you all - your niece and cousin.

I was deeply saddened to find out that Jim had passed away over the weekend. Jim was a highly valuable and respected member of our team and the effects of his loss are being felt here by all of his fellow co-workers, including myself. Jim was someone who any co-worker dreams of having on their team and it was always a joy to see him at the office. During his many years here, his dedication and selfless nature was always something that many others could only hope to attain and all who knew him regarded him with great respect and admiration. During his time here he helped the company move forward in great strides and his efforts and contributions will never be forgotten. My sincere and heartfelt condolences at this most difficult of times go out to his children and family. Jim was a remarkable man and we here at Ivey are all better people for having known him. For those of us here who knew Jim outside of work, we knew him to be kind, honest, and a man of great honor and strength. He will be greatly missed and we are all saddened by his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his children and family at this time. R.I.P Friend

Jim was one of my best friends growing up. We had alot of fun together and alot of lasting memories were created along the way. We would run the Ridge with the best of them. We'll miss you bro!!! And to his family my heart goes out to you and God Please look after the children.

Wow....in 35 years there are a lot of memories....the mushroom painted on the bedroom wall.... our first formal in middle school and getting sprained necks from head banging in formal clothes.....dancing at TJ Cruisers...catching the wall in my mom's house on fire......KISS's Beth......110 mph down Hwy 20 in shorts and flip flops....and LOTS of others as we got older, the good, the bad, and the devistating... There is so much to remember and laugh about, even through the tears that were cried.....I know that my life would have been so much less complicated without you in it, but it would have been so empty. Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.

My memory of Jim was of his sense of humor, his love of his children and his career. He was an honorable man. During alot of turmoil in the past few months he told me I was one of the few people in this world he trusted and that if anything happened to him he wanted me to take care of his children and that is now my mission. It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived. -George S. Patton, Jr.
