Uncle Jim was my mother's brother and my mother, Muriel, came to Australia from Scotland before Jim. My mother then met Jim when his ship docked in Sydney, and she was introduced to his cabin mate, Bernard (Barney), who was my father (he passed away in 1995). It was such a romantic story and I believe Jim was instrumental in their meeting. I have very fond memories of Jim from a very early age. He always made me feel like his special little princess. As I grew up he was a person I admired and I always felt we were more like friends than uncle & niece. I was very proud of Jim's career as an actor and admired his talent as an artist. Farewell Uncle Jim - you were a very special person in my life. I will miss your smiling eyes. PS Please give my mum and dad the biggest hug and kiss from me and tell them I miss them so much. Your loving niece Chris xxxxx
