Corinne, my sincere condolences to you and your family of freinds and well wishers for your loss of a trememndous saxophonist Jason Rae. Death has a way of allowing our lives to settle and I just wanted to say that you are one of the best, and greatest songwriters of a long time. Please allow yourself to grieve the love you had, but awaken to a life filled we memories and laughter. I understand that he was a funny and loving soul and for that I wish you well. Although I have only seen and heard you two together, I never was in the company of his wonderful music. Allow him to be your inspiration and continue to share what he gave you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time Corinne. A fan

Mademoiselle, Ne permettez pas que le sort décide pour vous. Don't give up. Vous avez, ici-bas, une tâche : celle de rendre les gens heureux, plus sensibles et meilleurs grâce à l'émotion que vous faites passer par votre présence, dans vos textes et vos mélodies. "Don't give up".

Words can never say enough but prayers go a long way. Mine are with you and your family as you grieve the lost of your husband. Never heard his music but I felt as if I knew him through your songs. You once said he was the inspiration of some of your songs and that touched my heart. I could feel the love, the closeness. I know you will continue to keep that part of him alive in your heart forever! Let his star continue to cross your sky. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Corrinne, from all the posts, know that many people are keeping you in their prayers/hearts from all over the globe. Remember too, that its a difficult time for all of whom were blessed to know Jason and yourself and those of us who don't know you personally, but love what you do,who you are, & your representation of humanity.... May you ride on the wings of Peace & Love and Blessings surround you as your star continues to shine bright.

Corinne, God will help you through this. I recently experienced a life changing event in which I also loss someone very close to me (shortly after sharing your music with them, and they loved your music). It felt as if it was impossible for me to handle the loss. Only through talking with God (asking for what I needed to help make me stronger, make me able to understand, accept and find peace) I have become stronger (and so, you can too (in your own time)). May Peace be Upon You

Corrine - my brother died aged 46 due alcohol drinking over a period of past 18 yrs when our mother passed. He couldn't deal with it..YET he was the only soul I've met who would make everyone open up and laugh - from the heart - he was and still is a beautiful presence. I didn't know Jason but from what I've read drugs/alcohol... we all know the dangers of excesses...we like to think. Its a tragic loss for you. Take comfort from your family and friends - and those who supported you with yr music - you have a truly beautiful voice. My heart goes out to you.

Jason worked in my husband's shop All Brass And Woodwind and he was a lovely guy always cheerfull and kind to anyone he met, I remember Jason drawing pictures with my little girl Jessica (who's nickname from being a baby was Smurfy) and Jason always called her that. Will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace Jason.

I have 100 memories of Jason back to our student days. He was lovely, good fun, kind, talented. I'm so sorry for Corinne and everyone who loved him, my heart goes out to you. I know how it is to lose someone you really love, such a waste to die so young, so sad. His memory will stay alive.

I was shocked to hear the news - Jason was one of the best session players I've worked with and was a constant delight with his combative theological positions and his impassioned defence of free thinking. I will miss him a lot.

You have such a beautiful spririt and there is no doubt "Jason" must have been the same. He is at a "higher level of consciousness now". I only met Jason a few times but saw him play a hundred times. The first time i met him was when he played with chunky butt funky on my wedding day when i found out that he and Malcolm had gone to the same music college as me. They were like two peas from the same pod. Jason is one of those people i'll never forget having a conversation with. You just know when someone shines. He was an amazing saxophonist and flautist. I was deeply saddened to hear the news of his passing. My heart goes out to Corinne, Jasons parents and all his close family and friends. He was a true legend and the scene will not be the same without him. R.I.P Jason. See you in the sequel...
