John, Was my electronics lecturer back in the seventies. Electronics was my hobby as well as my vocation so I got on very well with John. He once told me that one day a whole computer with all the peripherals would be on a single chip and cost five bucks. I wasn't too sure what he meant at the time, but I do now. He was exactly right. He could be a bit of a devil though. He asked a question on one of our assignment about a bootstrapped FET amplifiers, but took the relevant book on the subject out of the library so no one could look it up. He said he'd forgotten to return it, but he had that wicked "Barry Hunmphries" grin on his face when he said it. Rob Garnett
