Dear Jean, I think about all our fun times together cruising and exploring the US. You and Peter visited us in Las Vegas, Arizona, California and Utah. We cruised to Alaska, and to the Virgin Islands and Jamaica. I remember how funny it was to wake up to nearly a foot of snow at the Grand Canyon. It took us five hours to get there, and 5 hours to get home, and we never actually got to see it! It took me forever to learn what a stone meant, and when you told me you were going away for a fortnight, I didn't know what that was either, so I just counted the days until you returned. Thank you for helping me with Allen when he was young. I remember when I was in labor with Allen, I yelled at you for not telling me how bad it would hurt-ha! I loved our Christmas’ together-especially your cherry pie and that great sherry! I remember all of these things fondly. Jean, times have been hard of late, and I often wonder what you would say to me to make me feel better. What I do know is that you are with me every day, and though you can’t hug me or speak to me, I know you are watching out, and waiting for me in Heaven. All my love, Sandy
