I knew Jean through the ACT Veteran Athletics Club and the ACT walkers. I admired Jean for her 'can do' attitude, nothing seemed beyond her. Her love for her work and the people she connect wih in Cambodia was inspirational. As you said--she died doing what she enjoyed--this is a blessing. I too am saddened by her sudden death. She gave her all. I send my sympathy to her family and friends. She will be sadly missed Raine Thompson

I met Jean about 2 years ago when we began practising for the Milford Track walk. She was Helen's friend of long standing who enjoyed Masters swimming as well. I found her to be a delightful companion, a fun person to be with and an inspiration. On the track, she was at or very near the front of the whole group. I was never anywhere near her unless we had come to a stop! I was shocked and saddened to hear of her sudden death. I was hoping to spend more time with her walking. My sincere condolences to Jean's family and close friends. Sue Ryerson
