I have over 50 years of memories to enjoy of times spent at Auntie Jean's and Uncle Ted's home and with their family, and they are memories "to treasure", for sure. One of the things that always comes to mind when I think of Auntie Jean is her wonderful baking and her lovely garden. When they lived on Victoria Rd. I loved their back garden. As a child, my little brother and I used to love playing there and they had a lovely lemon tree there. Another vivid childhood memory was the basket of toys she kept in "the dark room". The "dark room' was Uncle Ted's photography processing room off the dining room. I'm sure those of you who have been around long anough, will remember this too. Auntie Jean and Uncle Ted where the most hospitable people you could ever wish to meet, and over the last 40 years, everytime our family has made trips home to Australia, we have been blessed by either Auntie Jean and Uncle Ted's hospitality, or the same wonderful warm hospitality at Ross' and Kayes or Elaine's and Graham's homes. When I saw her for the last time, June of 2009 at Elaine and Graham's home, she amazed me with her sharp memory and clear mind. Our thoughts and prayer goes out to her family. We love you all and although we will all miss Auntie Jean, she left us with some beautiful memories. Love, Gaylia
