Joe’s family - You have my deepest condolences on the passing of your Dad. I hope your memories of him give you some comfort and that time will help you to live with your loss. I did not spend enough time with Joe, but the few times I had with him were memorable. Joe, I will always remember what your thoughts were on R.O.W legislation and will continue the fight. Rest in peace. You have earned a righteous place in heaven. Enjoy. J.R.

Within the last four years I was fortunate to have the opportunity to get to know Joe really well whether it was on the phone, at a meeting (MMA –AZ, ACMC or NCOM), a dinner, an event or just hanging around and talking. He seemed to know every group and/or individual that was involved with motorcycles and Motorcycle rights. His Arizona biker history knowledge was unlimited. For me he was my World Book of Knowledge to the Motorcycling community. I wish that we would have had more time – more years – more opportunities to have spent together. I will dearly miss you Joe. My memory of Joe is that he was so welcoming and generous even though we were part of a revolving door of guests at his beach house in Mexico. So full of life and could have a conversation with anyone about any subject. He was so knowledgeable about so many different topics and had so many interesting stories to tell. I remember him sitting out on his deck and looking out at his perfect view and sighing "beautiful", It seemed at that moment he was truly content. Crystal, thank you for giving us the opportunity to meet and spend time with your dad. We feel blessed to have known him and to have shared laughs with him.

What an awesome man! Always had time for everyone, always worked his buns off representing not only his clients but all of us in the motorcycle world! My wife and I met Joe in Vegas in 1987with many dealings after that; his laugh, his energy, his desire to help, but especially his laugh keeps echoing in my ears. We've known him as a co-patriot in the rights world; as a very dear friend and mentor; and as client/attorney. Most of all a friend, the only thing that truly matters in this world! We will definitely miss you brother! bj & mj

THank you Joe for everything and i wont ever forget you.... I hope you, my dad and george are all having a grand old time up there! Charity~

I met Joe several years ago at his home in San Diego, on a 3 day weekend, with many of young people. I remember thinking he totally fits in with this crowd. He was such a happy, youthful ,generous man. On one of those weekends he invited me to take a drive on his tricycle (motorcycle). More than 10 years later I still recall that day. It was such a cool ride, but what I recall the most was not the ride itself, although that was great, I recall that on that ride he was stopped by so many of the locals, just to say hi. I remember thinking WOW, he knows alot of people, But mostly that ALL THE PEOPLE WERE SO HAPPY TO SEE HIM. He greeted all of those that crossed our path, with such joy and a smile. He was such a happy, friendly man. He will be missed. I will keep all his family in my prayers. May God bless you are and give you strengt and peace during this time.

There are many things I wish I would have done more of. One of these is visiting with Joe and Tank. We used to have offices at 1200 Third. Every Friday at 5:00 was "Go To Joe's Office" time. Joe would open up his bar. It was great! I was invited more than once to his home in Mexico. Another thing I wish I would have done. We love you Joe. See you when I see you.

What a beautiful simple uncomlpicated person. Joe was a great neighbor and our friendship was just starting to grow. We miss him greatly. Baja Malibu Playas will always miss his wit, his strength, his love and his friendship. Dan and Shari Bruneau

I met Joe only a couple of times but he always seemed happy and made me feel welcomed and was very generous with what he had. It was very easy to forget that he was crystal's dad because he seemed more like on of the boys. God bless him and his family and friends.

The last weekend I spent with my Dad was my birthday weekend near the end of July. My family and some family friends were hangin with Dad at his beach house. We arranged to have a couple of surf instructors come to Baja Malibu with all their gear, boards, suits, etc. to teach Brandon (Grandson) and his friend Nick to surf. Unbelievably at 9 years of age they both did it!. They popped up like pro's and rode the waves in. It was just me and my dad on his deck watching this take place. He was so proud and so excited. He told me that he always dreamed of watching his grandkids surf. He was convinced that Brandon did this just for him. Oh and how he beamed with pride and adoration. What a precious moment. I'll never forget it.

I can't remember a time when Joe wasn't enjoying life to the fullest. I have the most wonderful memories of memorial & labor day weekends we spent with him at the San Diego house, fourth of July at his Rosarito house. He was a great guy, always welcoming us into his home with open arms. He will be missed by all of us, but we were lucky to have been part of his life. Keith and Crystal, you are in my prayers.
