Daddy, I lit candles for you & Henry yesterday, I cannot believe we have been without you for 5 years! Henry too, he has been gone for 3 years. I just wanted to say, I always keep you with me in my heart and miss you so much still. I love you!

Daddy I am requesting your beautiful presence at your grand daughters wedding in May. She is so beautiful and so in love. You would Love Wil, he is a good guy. I miss you so much and I love you just as much as I always have.

Daddy ~ I thought about you this Thanksgiving and remembered howe much you loved this holiday. We laughed at some of the things you had done and said in the past and I had my own private moments as you probably know. While time doesn't take it all away, it does a bit of healing and for that I am thankful. I will always miss you and always love you.

This is the day that you went back home to your heaven. While for us here this memory is not what we wanted , I know you were very happy to finally get back to heaven. I can't say it enough Dad, but I really am quite lost without you here and as I go through life now, I experience memories that sometimes make me smile or I become quiet. I am preparing for your 70th birthday this Friday 09/24/10...preparing for the emotions that come along with this day. I don't know what to do or how to act. I want to wish you a happy birthday but my hope is that everyday you are happy where you are now. In your own Heaven I know you can be anything and be anywhere you want to be. Daddy, What a beautiful time of year. I took it for granted and got caught up in the commercialism of it all. I will no longer subject myself or my family to that way of living. Christmas means so many things to so many different people; for me, it means love and joy. A new rebirth for the earth amd for new growth in humans. I am sad that you are not here with me. I can only imagine how beautiful YOUR heaven is. I miss you and I love you daddy...I don't know if my heart will ever be "unbroken", but I am hoping as time goes on I can see the beauty of eventually "letting go". Not yet, not now.

Memories of my wonder dad. I love you Daddy.

I wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving Daddy...I miss you and I am always thinking about you...I love you!!

I am missing you today. I sit here and go through the frames of our lives. I really miss you daddy...I love you!

I cannot believe it has been one year since you left to go into the beautiful white light. I am trying to focus on the wonderful world I know you have created for yourself and I would imagine it to be beautiful, peaceful and full of everything you love. I miss you and I love you more than I ever told you and dad, you will always be with me where ever I go. I am still not doing as well as people tell me I should be past this particular point in my grieving process. I won't share that with anyone, but you know. One year, and so much has happened.

Today is the day to celebrate YOUR life. I have lit my candle, I have spoken to you and I know you listened to me...I miss you and I love you! I am so glad that you were in my life for 43 years!! Happy Birthday!

Does time really heal all wounds? No, I don't think it does however, I can say that I do not cry as much and I try so hard to think of you as "here" with me still. I love you dad and I am sure you know that already, but I can't say it enough. With Father's Day coming up, I am a little displaced and I feel the loss of your smile and happiness. I also know that my memories are so grand that my words can never do them justice so I will keep them in my heart and you & I know we had some fun! I just recalled another fabulous memory. My dad was in the United States Army and he was a "Tanker". That means that he drove and maintained a tank through many small missions. He was so very proud of his military service and would always tell me, "A tank's and tanker's worst enemy...Barbed Wire! Try changing those "tires" after you have been caught in that razor barb. As the driver he was responsible for all of the tank's inner and outer workings. Funny though, he barely knew what to do with a hammer and for that.....is what I love about him. Hugs and kisses dad....

Dad used to say, "reach for the stars in your life." This was something he believed in firmly. Opportunities are our "stars" to catch. I know he didn't have many of those growing up however, when he created his own family, he always knew he "caught his stars." My sister and I were his pride, his worry and his love, he knew that as we grew up, we would become independent but "stars, eventually need to be let go of, so they can FLY." We were SO very lucky to have a few of those opportunities in our lives. Thanks Daddy for teaching us that life IS what YOU make of it... All of my love blessed be Here's some stars for you...... While this is not a particular memory. I just wanted to say that there will alwys be a candle lit in my home for you. You will alwyas be invited herein perfect love and perfect trust. And I know you are in the Summerland (heaven) and I am happy to have all of the glorious memories that YOU made happen...I will always love you daddy and I will NEVER forget you! So Mote It Be!

Another point that I would like to mention is that my father supported many causes but his passion was that of law enforcement and police dogs. He would donate to these causes because he knew how dangerous it was to put your life or your police dog's life on the line....every single day. The men, women and dogs that do this were his heroes and he felt they deserved praise and respect. So he decided a long time ago to donate to mainly the police departments and the animal funds needed to support families of fallen officers but also animal funds for the dogs that worked very hard catching the bad guys. Good call Dad.
