over ten years ago i was looking for a place to call hame for a while and i called up an add in the paper. i called the number in the add and found myself going to meet with Kathy at her house. I remember knocking on the front door and being greeted by this fine long haired lady ...... from our first meeting she was so warm and open and i expected to find a combi van parked in the garage (one cool hippy chic). One of my fondest memories ( other than the many hours we just chatted) was when she said lets go down to the club a few doors down and have a beer. I never knew just how old she was but at this time i was in my mid 30's and she was a tiny bit older than me .... she thought it would be good, and i quote her "lets give the old bastards down there something to talk about" such a shit stirrer she was ... but fun loving and wouldn't hurt a fly ...... i was there for about 8 months then i moved to QLD with my family and over the last ten or so years Kathy has rung me out of the blue at random times to have a chat. On the odd occasion she sounded a little down, but as usual we always managed to have a laught and giggle about something. The last time we spoke was about a month ago and she never complained or indicated to me that she was anything but good .... she swore a bit, but thats what made her funny to me, her openness and caring nature .... i'll miss the random calls ........... god bless you Kathy my friend ......
