The past few days have been quite difficult, the earlier memories we created as teenagers are hurtful to remember because 'The LE' has been instrumental in moulding me. Watching the movie 'Mama Mia' reminds me of how colourful and vibrant our friendship was, we were always singing and dancing around and having fun. If one wanted to put a smile on her face, you'd go to her singing '...ONLY FOR YOU MY LEAH' - her answer would be 'eish chomaka wa nhlantsha then add '.. LEAH HOW LONG..'.

I met Leah in 1990 at TNT through my late friend Francis Motsamai. They were room mates so during lunch time we would gather in their room together with Micky, Khosi and Hali and share our life experiences. We were freshers at the technikon. We did not know that our encounter would lead to this life long friendship. I miss her so much as she was an older sister to me. We shared so much. We were true to each other no matter how much the truth hurts we made sure we never misled each other. I saw her twice last year. She came for my birthday party and also for a visit. We still talked to each other most of the days. The last time I contacted her was on the 30/04/09 and she said she was in Alexander for the following day's funeral and will contact me later. That was the last time we spoke. We promised each other that we were going to be happy this year by focusing only on the positive things happening in our lives and I was to spent Christmas with her this year in Lebowa Kgomo. God's time is not ours. May her free spirited soul rest in peace. Love u Leasto!!!

We danced, laughed and had a wonderful time together at Pheladi Bopape's wedding. We promised to keep in touch like we normally do at such gatherings and only got to send a text on her birthday. If only we knew God's plans...we would say I love you a lot more and treasure every moment we are blessed to share together. We are gutted by this huge loss. I am heart-broken because I moved back to South Africa three years ago and got to spend a bit of time with Leah when she was living in Pretoria. And now that I am back in England this happens. I wish I had waited and not moved back to England in February. How fortunate we were to have such a wonderful friend. Leago's mom will be sadly missed.

The most recent goodbyes!!!. I was with her at the Southgate mall 7 weeks ago, stylishly dressed as usual The LE her face glowing and quite youthful. Her Cape Town trip she said 'I am feeling very cold but finally I have arrived'. Leah sent a message in her true fashion 'o grand?' on the 11-04, as she was leaving Meisie's place 2 weeks ago she called for over an hour planning her future success, she asked me to pray for her and that we should observe a fast. She asked that I come to Polokwane in a few weeks.
