I am so much missing you dad. I know you are in that better place but your absence leaves such emptiness here. I love you. Suzanne
Leo i miss you already. You were a great father in law, teacher, a gentleman and you always cared about me. I love you. Mimi
Such a lovely gentle man. Loved his dancing. We will have great memories of you Leo. You will sadly missed. RIP.
Great memories growing up as our families spent so much time together - Uncle Lee couldn't have been any closer than a 'real' uncle! Always gave great advice - Uncle Lee wrote my first reference and provided great insight when I began working. Such a fine man - will be sadly missed. Love Sue xxx
You were not just my dad, you were my mentor and my best friend. I learnt so much from you and will miss our talks on business, politics and the world. You suffered so much this year, I hope you are enjoying being with Mimi and Parpi, give them a kiss for me. I'll miss you dad. Your loving son Peter.
The best daddy in the world, I love you.
You will always be in my thoughts and a part of me. Thank you for your love, advise, strength and support, but most of all just being you.
I will miss spending time with you and talking about work, travel, history and current affairs, asking you questions and seeking your help. You have had a tough year, fighting for your life, I'm sorry you had to suffer so and that I could not do more to help you, but no matter what you remained strong and determined throughout as you have always done. I hope you are now at peace and looking down guiding us into the future. Your loving daughter Andy xxxxx
They say you can choose your friends, not your relations. I'm SO glad that my parents and Leo chose each other as friends. A friendship that has lasted a lifetime. All my earliest happy childhood memories are filled with my second family "The Days". And 'Uncle' Leo was always a strong constant. A great smile, in his voice as well as on his face. Mischievous, supportive and very loving. My love and prayers go out to 'Aunty Val' and to Peter, Michael, Suzanne and Andrina. Although our adult lives have drifted us in different directions, I still have the fondest childhood memories, playing with all my 'cousins', my 'Aunty Val' and of course my 'Uncle Leo'. Vale Leo Harry Day.
Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. Leo made a lasting and wonderful impression on all of us and will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Chun beo i gcroí cead againn nach bhfuil taobh thiar le bás a fháil. "to live in the hearts we leave behind is to never die" All our love Dave & WeeSuan
