Dad was an inspiration to his children whom he led by example. A lifted eyebrow was sufficient chastisement for us to know we had to modify our behaviour. I can't remember Dad EVER laying a hand on one of us in anger. We knew the threat of the strap was there but never had to be used! He kept us following in his footsteps but they were big shoes he wore! He was a much devoted husband and I can honestly say I never heard my parents ever raise their voices in anger at one another. WHAT A WONDERFUL DAD!
