I first got to know Loretta about 20 years ago - our time together was wonderful and intense, not without its challenges but forever memorable. A beautiful person, full of life and love for those she held close to her, inquisitive and loving a good chat. Sadly missed.

Loretta, I miss you very much and feel so sad you are know longer here to celebrate life. It was a pleasure and privilge to meet you at the Gawler Foundation 5 years ago. You have endured both happy and difficult times during the time I have known you. You were a pillar of strength for Francis and Greta and always did what was best for them. You have given them so much to hold onto which they will hold in their hearts for ever. Thank you for being my friend on earth and I know our friendship will conitnue in me knowing Sophie, Greta and Francis.

To the closest and dearest friend of my life. I always told you that I don’t need any other friends because I've got you and thats all I want. We knew everything there was to know about each other. We shared our youth, our education, our dreams, our loves, our losses, our tragedies and our lives together growing, teaching, getting married and becoming mothers. It was the greatest privilege to share all this with you Loretta. You are irreplaceable and forever in my heart. I wish you eternal peace and know we will meet again. Until then, Love Always, Maree

I have stared at this screen for what feels like forever because l am struggling to sum up in a few lines what a special person you are. Last time l saw you l told you what an amazing person you were and to not underestimate how much you have achieved. Your strength and motivation never failed to impress me. Family was your top prority. But as the true friend that you are, you always had time, energy and love to help another. You have left me so enritched as a better person and of course with lots of wonderful memories.xxx

As a paddle buddy in Dragons Abreast Melbourne, we remember Loretta's warm friendship, sunny personality and ever smiling face and will treasure her artistic legacy of her beautiful hand writing of our names on our pink folding chairs! To Greta & Francis we'll always remember their loving mother, now a member of our very special Angels Abreast team, who we honour whenever we hold a Flowers on the Water ceremony.

Loretta you were a bright light, beautiful, sunny and caring. I remember sitting in the boat, Francis and Greta sitting on the dock waiting for us to come in, you and us smiling and waiving to them. I will miss you - Christine

My memory of Loretta was of my first day at Dragon Boating greeting me. I will never forget the warmth she bestowed upon me. I have paddled with her beside me on one of her returns to the team, while her dear beautiful children sat on the jetty reading their books while they allowed their Mummy to enjoy some time with her friends. The small amount of time I knew you was more than enough for your loving nature to be imprinted inside of me. Your children were very blessed to have such a loving Mummy.

My memory of Loretta was of a warm and gregarious woman and a loving mum to Greta and Francis. She was a valued member of DAM Busters dragon boating team and enjoyed the humour and support that she both received and gave to the other women in the boat. Loretta will be missed and I hope that she is now able to fly free from all that she struggled with.

Loretta is the mother of two beautiful children, one of whom is a close friend of my son's. My memories of her are all about how much her world was centred around Francis and Greta and how concern for them and interest in their well-being and happiness was at the front of her mind at all times. She loved them and they knew they were very loved and treasured and I am so sad that those two lovely children have had such a caring and dedicated mother taken from them. My condolences to her whole family - you have lost a very warm and giving person.
