It’s deeply saddening to hear about the untimely demise of our friend & colleague Martin. He was very cheerful & lively besides being very professional at the same time. His sense of humor was great and he was a very family-oriented person. I remember having discussed about our children in many of our regular meetings and we used to share the pictures of our family. He was very optimistic in his approach and never got discouraged with whatever be the situation. Besides losing a great Manager & colleague, it’s a personal loss to me since we matured as friends during the last couple of years. I was just reflecting on the first time I met Martin face to face and in person. It was in Germany for a business trip. What I remember most was that he had the biggest smile and the kindest heart. I immediately liked him a lot. I am so saddened to hear of this news.. My heart aches for his family! God be with them and I am praying for their strength to get through this difficult time. It was indeed very sad news this morning to hear of Martin's passing. As a fellow Agilent employee, while I truly enjoyed working with him from the business perspective, it was the social side I enjoyed even more where he an I would share a story or fun so his friendship from the social side whre we could share joke or twwo from time to time. My name is Rafa, Martin was my direct manager At Agilent.. I want to express to you and your sons my most sincere condolences for the death of Martin. Today when I received the call from my colleagues in the Netherlands I couldn’t believe it. Just last Friday I was talking to him, doing some planning for our next in person meeting in May… I know there are no words to reduce the pain you must be having now. I just want to let you know how much I was appreciating him, not only as my manager or an Agilent colleague but as a person. During all these years I had the honor to be working with him he always demonstrated his integrity, respect versus the others and a willing to help everyone. We will miss him a lot. Rafa
