I remember sitting in the arena next to a fine gentleman and i said,"Who is that Kid. Is he ever a good hockey player." The gentleman next to me replied, "that is Mickey Renaud, my grandson." Wow, sorry for your loss to the Renaud family and friends...That was one of Mick's first games for the Spits...I will truly miss you Mickey! Sheila Chadwick

Mickey was an amazing hockey player and i think that he should have went t othe NHL and he was way to young to die he had so much to look forward to and he never got to see that come true and that is so so sad. Mickey and Akim Alu were like the best of friends and I feel so sorry for both of them Alu lost a very close friend and Mickey lost everything in his life. I am so so sorry and i hope everything works out fine for the family.

There are no words that can express how deeply sorry I feel for the Renaud family , the Windsor Spitfires Family, the friends and the fans . I was at a recent game (Thursday Feb. 7th vs. Sarnia). Mickey as usual played a great game. I never had the distinct pleasure of meeting this fine young man but over the last few days of reading the newspaper and all the wonderful memories and kind words of him, I feel like I've lost a friend too. My thoughts also go out to his teammates who I know are having a very tough time through this tragedy. The whole hockey world across North America feels the loss of Mickey. Let his memory live inside us all. Good bye Mickey, I will miss you!

Like you we have spent the better part of the last 14 years at the arena. Our path's have crossed oh so many times. We arrived early and left late waiting to watch Mickey play. Mickey played with so much heart and desire that only the destined have. Words cannot express our deepest sorrow. He was a great young man because of you's, a very special family.

I've been thinking of the family all week... to many he was a public figure, but to you he was a son, a brother, a nephew, a grandchild. I hope somehow you are allowed some space to breathe and to grieve in your own private way. There are a lot of people who have you in their thoughts and prayers. ~ Victoria

When You're Gone lyrics I always needed time on my own I never thought I'd need you there when I cry And the days feel like years when I'm alone And the bed where you lie is made up on your side When you walk away I count the steps that you take Do you see how much I need you right now [Chorus] When you're gone The pieces of my heart are missing you When you're gone The face I came to know is missing too When you're gone The words I need to hear to always get me through the day and make it ok I miss you I've never felt this way before Everything that I do reminds me of you And the clothes you left, they lie on the floor And they smell just like you, I love the things that you do When you walk away I count the steps that you take Do you see how much I need you right now [Chorus] We were made for each other Out here forever I know we were, yeah All I ever wanted was for you to know Everything I'd do, I'd give my heart and soul I can hardly breathe I need to feel you here with me, yeah [Chorus] Avril Lavigne
