CSIRO Plant Industry mourns the loss of one of Australia’s leaders in plant science and plant biotechnology. Those of us that knew Mike Dalling were inspired by his energy, enthusiasm and his vision for how plant science could benefit our community. Mike was a mentor for several of our staff during their formative years as scientists and an enduring friend for all. Our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends.
