I met her during the year 2008 at our company's Christimas party. When i performed a dance programme along with my friends, she appreciated me a lot as i performed inspite of my overweight. I had conversed with her over the phone, she was loving towards me . She was an ardent follower of Jesus and always prayed for others. She instilled a lot of confidence in me as far as my health was concerned. She had explored God to a very great extent . Her only daughter Ms. Christina Priyadarshini has carried her qualities in many ways. Whenever i had a problem she used to pray and convey her advices through her daughter . It was very disheartening to see her in CCU inspite of reviving her heart on 1st April. From 2nd April on wards i was in the hospital along with others taking turns to look after her. She was very bold and was never scared of the machines and life support system in and around her. She was alert and whenever she needed water she used to write on a slip of paper. She smiled and caressed me whenever I was with her, communicating a lot in her sign languages. I cant forget the day before she she passed away. Before I left the hospital, I visited her in the CCU. Doctors were telling so many things, but we all believed the Lord will give her back to us. She was off the ventilator When I went near her she held me tightly with her hand and then when i asked whether she is in need of water, she nodded her head . But the doctors had put her on fluid restrictions . Then I told my mam that i will come the next morning only to hear that she passed. away. The world came shattering down and i could not control my tears. We were all shocked . The prayers, the treatment, the struggle for nearly 9 days after the new life on 1st April, nothing can be forgotten. God wanted his child and he took her. She is a wonderful person. A true follower of Jesus. She leaves behind her only daughter who will carry on her legacy and the good deeds Amma did. I LOVE YOU AMMA AND I MISS YOU. Ms. Rathnakar was an incredible human being who dared to be different. Brave and Wonderful Lady and an Admirable Mom are the words which suit her aptly. She has struggled throughout her life to bring a ray of hope into the lives of people around her.
