Peter inspired his students, his staff, his actors to take risks, to venture into the unknown, to push the boundaries of their own creative resources. He never played it safe himself, in selecting staff, students, casting or undertaking projects. He was a mentor, facilitator, optimist, dreamer, artist and colleague.

Staff, students and alumni of the Victorian College of the Arts are saddened to learn of Peter’s passing on Sunday 9 October. He will be remembered as a visionary founding Head of the School of Drama and as a unique individual voice for theatre training in Australia.
