I have fond memories of Peter when he filled in for Stan one morning on radio duty. He was so interesting with his tales of the time spent at sea and the love of his family. He was very particular about how the base was operated and I remember how important it was for the flags to be hoisted at 8 am. The day was fairly quiet, but the time spent passed very quickly. Although this was two years ago, it seems like yesterday. How lucky I was that through unusual circumstances I was given the opportunity to spend this time with him.
