I remember Rex Heading from my early days at NWS Channel 9. He was the man the employed me in those first days of TV in South Australia. I remember his superb speaking voice and always wanted to sound like him. It never happened of course. he is remembered as a good teacher and mentor who gave me 45 years of happy times in the South Australian TV Industry. RIP Rex Heading.
To my Great Uncle Rex , i only spent a few times with you but i do fondly remember staying with you at your place in Sherbrooke Forest when i was only about 14 or 15 and those chats i had with you and Aunty Shirley were to help me greatly as i was growing up. Thankyou My Sympathies go out to Aunty Shirley and the rest of the family. Sincerely Simon Bottomley. P.S I told everyone i knew that you invented Humphrey B Bear , sadly not many believed me.
