Roshii was one of the toughest kid's in the gym,and very likable,my family and I consider him one of the family and alway's will.I had the honor of not only coaching him,but being his friend. He would plow through whoever got in the ring with him, total domination. He was a champ in and out of the ring,it's no wonder he advanced as far as he did.I remember one year ,we had taken him to the junior olympic's in San Antonio where he [of course] made it to the final's.Anyway he had lost his mouth piece which is a no-no.because keeping your gear together is part of being discipline, anyway Martin Ortiz his head coach got on him about ,almost bringing him to tear's.When he got into the ring to fight for the gold, against a real tough kid Roshii gave that boy such a whipping, the ref. was'nt even safe in there, needless to say he won the gold..which is what Roshii was made of.I still have video of some of his fight's.You're now in the arm's of Jesus see you again David Gallardo...e-mail d.gallardo77@yahoo.com

I hadn't seen you since High School but I thought of you from time to time and then I heard this horrible news. You were humble back in the day and a good friend, always there...just a real human being to your core. My prayers to you and your family

Am shoked to hear of Roshii passing away. Had no idea this had happened. Roshii was my favorite fighter at the olympic games, always respectful and, nice to train, All my best to his family and my deepest simpathy. FROM: Jesse Ravelo 1996 Olympic Coach

They say there is a reason They say that time will heal But neither time nor reason Will change the way I feel. For no one knows the heartache that lies behind my smile, No one knows how many times I have broken down and cried. I can' t even finish the ............

You were just here Monday we were talking and laughing, who knew that w/in hours you'd be gone from our lives. I miss you and so do my kids. We love and miss you, you watch over us now, and protect us. I'm so sad.

I remember like it was yesterday, sitting on the couch, watching you play those stupid boxing games, boxing was everything to you and you made me a fan from the very first day I met you. You were my best friends little brother, and you became my heart. Although I haven't been around in years, it hurts my heart to find out you were just hours away from me the whole time. TIME IS OF ESSENCE! Love you always.

When I met you in 1994 I never knew that our friendship would grow to the extent that it did. Just last week you were on my mind and I tried to look you up but could not find any information on you. It hit really hard when I logged on to 11alive to see what was going on in Atlanta and saw the article about your untimely death. I want you to know that you will be truely missed..your smile, kind words, and actions. Rest in Peace until we meet again.

Its sad that such a great friend like you had to leave this earth in such a horrible way. You will be missed soooo much. I haven't seen you since 2000 but you were so nice and sweet . And it touched me in the worst way to hear that you are gone. You will be truly missed by your friends, family and anyone that knew you. ONE LOVE!!!!!

You loved me like a sister and I loved you like a brother. My heart is broken right now and I just want to hear you say, "You were my friend first". I will miss the unauthorized drving lessons, the pep talk about how I didn't need a man, your silly, silly ways, and the sound of your voice when you found out I was pregnant (you sounded just like a big brother). I love you Roshii and you will ALWAYS be my champ

You were "the great one" man. You had a dream and went for it. You're an inspiration. It hurts that you're gone, but I know that you are in a better place now.
