Mr. Etheridge was the most dedicated, intelligent, supportive teacher I had during all of my grade school years. He only taught at Roosevelt School in South Holland, Ill for one year, and I was fortunate to have him as my major teacher. He was far too progressive in thought and methods for the conservative world that he found himself a part of (He was an ardent Adlai Stevenson supporter in an Eisenhower community and we all made fun of him for his preferences. I am so sorry I never told him how he changed my life. What a truly wonderful man and teacher he was. (and a great and enthusiastic softball player at moring recess.) Bless hyou Mr. Etheridge!
