Samm, I remember all the timess at PBM.. I never actually thought thatt you wouldd be gone. I remember when youu were gettinggg teased .... and it was byy mee... since yourr death...my life has been changed . i learned that you never knoww when someone will be gone!! I take backk every word i said!! I couldnt beleive that you were gone!!! I never got to say I'm Sorry!!! I'mm Sorry Samm....after you died and those counselours came in, i cried through the wholee thingg . i wish youu were still here todayy to be ablee to experience high school ... its really cool!! oh where to begin... You were the sweetest, kindest, funniest child at YMCA Camp. I will never forget that summer with you Sam. I especially remember when we were sitting on the swings and you were telling me that you wanted to be a doctor when you grew up. You are missed and i think of you often sweet boy. I can't believe its been about 2 years. I first meet Sam at PBM. I knew his aunt for many years. She was my dance instructor. I'll miss him so much!

My family and I moved to Lafayette after Hurricane Katrina. We met Sam at Brown Park where we played football, basket ball and baseball. We became very good friends and did a lot of things together. Although we are back in New Orleans, We still think about Sam and the good times we had. He will be sadly missed, but if we live right and follow JESUS we will see him again. R.I.P. i had known sammy since we were small. i was a year older than him. he was the closest thing i had to a little/younger brother. when i lived in new orleans he always tried to visit me at least once a year. I LOVE & MISS YOU SOOO MUCH SAMMY ! if you could've ever come to visit me in chicago i know you would've loved it and if i had bulls tickets i would've taken you to see a game and the same thing goes for the cubs and sox. whenever we were visiting eachother and i had a bad day, you would always know how to make me smile and laugh. you were always so smart and always had a good oppinion on everything from music and movies to sports and thier teams. i now regret everytime we had an argument and the times i didnt spend with you on purpose. the last thing i said to you was see you later, not knowing that there wouldn't ever be a later. i remember every time i hugged you you were so teddy bear like and so full of life. you were my best friend that happend to be a guy. i know you are in a better place and you're probly playing basket ball, foot ball, and base ball on a court and feild of gold and walking the streets of heavin. My memory of SAM. Sam ,when very young told me he wanted to be the first African American President of the United States and I know in my heart and soul He could have achieve this goal. Sam had the intelligence, wisdom, smile and personality and drive and determination it took to be anything he wanted to be He would have been an awesome President of the united States. He had excellient moral standards for living and incredibal Biblical knowledge to do an incredibal awesome job and incrediable wonderful thing for this nation, had he had the chance. His sweet loving smile and joy for life will live on in my Hearts forever. Sam, You know Miss carol loves you., Myriah loves and misses you much also. last year in fifth grade,me and sam were walking the track and i said"to keep running,put a fast song in your head and run to the beat,feel the beat......but the problem is,you dont just feel the beat you also feel the pain!!!!"and sam laughed and said"see? thats why your my friend cause your funny!" I remember once sam and i were at recess and he caught the football with 1 hand and for the rest of the day i called him randy moss the boss. Miss u brah/.....gone but never forgoten.

My favorite memory of Sam was at our orintation last year i tripped and did a split at the same time and sam said Audrey how did u do that and did u split ur pants. I MISS U SAN ILOVEE U

My favorite memory of sam is when we were younger he came over and we swam forever. When we finaly got out my aunt made sam eat 12 hotdogs. And he did it all with a smile. Now that I think about it we should have made him eat 14.

Everytime I saw Sam I saw happiness, peace, and love. It was a pleasure to watch him on the basketball court with my son. Watching you get old and wiser was a privilege. My boys will miss you. I loved Big Sam like he was my own. My husband always said Sam was his favorite person to coach because when he yelled Sam smiled and just kept playing. We love Big Sam our big teddy bear.

Your memories will be cherished forever Sam. Your presence will be missed by all. We are truely saden for your loss, but know you ae in a safe place know among the angels. We will keep you and your entire family in our prayers. Love U always!!!!!!!!!!!!

In 2007, I attended Grandparent's Day with my granddaughter, Audrey. We stood in the lunch line together and Sam was next to us. We started talking and sat down to eat together. We joked and laughed throughout the period. I was really impressed with this young man's attitude. He was polite and happy. I snapped the photo of Sam, Audrey and Chelsey and left. Later, I was told he made up a song about me and told Audrey that I was a cool grandmother. I never told Sam that I thought he was a cool kid. Sam, you are one that I will always remember. I'd like to think that God took you to another world before you could be tainted. You did your job. You touched the lives you were sent to tend to. And, before you could be changed from an angel in waiting, you were called home. Lucky for the person who has you as an angel. I know you're a cool one. Rest in Peace, Sam. Look at all who loved you.

Samuel was a terrific kid and a very special young man. I am very proud to say that he touched Billie Sarah's life and mine. Please watch over us Sam because we know your an angel in heaven right now. Soar my little man soar. You will be greatly missed always.

Every time I saw Sam... He was with his mother... At any festivities, any French events... They were always together. Together they were sharing that beautiful smile while saying "hi" or "bonnnn-jour Madame". She always took good care of his loving son... So whatever the reason were or whatever happened it's hard to believe she knew what she was doing... Sam is not anymore but his mom is... And we all know the rest of her life is going to be miserable and she will need support and prayers...
