Donna said it all. Shelley was just a wonderful person and kind to everyone. The thing I will always remember most is how her eyes twinkled and moved. So beautiful. No doubt Shelley is a wonderful mom and her kids are just like her. My deepest Sympothy, Nancy Smith.

I have so many wonderful memories of you Shelley! I was big "Sis" when Shelley came into our lives...Donna and Judy were my sisters and Shelley just fit right in with our family. I use to "borrow" the car from our Mom and Dad and pick up the girls from school, what a grand time we had driving around flirting with boys!! I remember we got caught one day as I ran a stop sign and almost had a accident with my mother's best friend and next door neighbor! That was the end of borrowing the car!! All my memories are so precious to me of you "Sweet Lady"...I know you are on a "GRAND" Adventure right now and look forward to the day we will all be reunited in Heaven with Our Precious Lord, until that day....Love be with you Always Sweet Angel (Lil Sis)...... xo Big Sis

We worked together and went out together for girls nights all the time! Shelley was always so full of life and was like another mother to me :) she always had the words to say when I was having a rough time. We spent many late nights into early mornings at "The Dancing Bear" or wherever we found a good place to party then raised more hell after ;) When I needed a place to stay she was the one I would go to....so loving and caring! Shelley loved her daughters more then words can say. Shannon and Melisa were her everything...she talked about them all the time. I had so much respect for her for working so hard to support them no matter what she had to do. Now as a mother myself, I hope I can be as strong as she always was with her children. Shelley you inspired me in so many ways....you will be missed so much.....until we meet again may you be at peace. Love Brooke

I met my friend Shelley on our first day of Jr. High School - 7th Grade at Garside Jr. High in Las Vegas, NV. We sat at the same table in our Home EC class. She was curious about my long fingernails and I was curious about her "twinkle" eyes. We struck up a lasting friendship and were inseparable for years all the years of Jr. High and High School. I don't think a day of all those years went by that we were not together, including weekends. The first time I went to Shelley's house I was just amazed that her walls were wallpapered in Donny Osmond posters! I have hilarious memories of both of us spending hours staying up all night painting our nails, making hair designs on ourselves, eating fried cheese grits and cutting out more pictures of Donny to plaster on her walls from stacks of magazines. Shelley's Mom and Grandma Irma would wake up and I can still hear them say "Shelley Lyn, what are you girls making a mess of now"? We would laugh and Shelley would always have that sideways little sparkle in her eyes with a huge smile and of course her Mom and Gram adored her and just couldn't ever really be mad at her. Shelley always made me laugh...she was so silly and fun to be around. I could say we were two "blonde" peas from the same peapod. If one of us was serious, the other did something so ridiculously funny to make the other laugh. We did so many fun things together and of course all those teenager things we thought we could get away with but that our mothers called each other and always seemed to catch us at. We were shocked how smart our Moms really were....until we became mothers ourselves. Shelley and I had most of our classes together throughout 6 years of school. We both loved our Art classes and Shelley was always very talented. We got to be on the yearbook committee together in Jr. High and we had so much fun with our creativity. Memories of Ice skating and first concerts together at the old Ice Palace, being boy-crazy together and sending notes back and forth in classes at school, not paying much attention to the Teachers. Mall shopping trips and silly picture photo booths (I'll have to find those old pictures). Eating Pizza and Italian Ices at Pizza Den where my sister Linda worked until we were stuffed. Looking forward to cafeteria lunch days with mashed potato and roll boats. Oh my how my friend adored delicious food! Her eyes would sparkle! Wonderful memories of our family camping trips when my Mom let all the teens go along to Pine Valley, Utah....we washed our hair in freezing stream water. A great memory of a fun weekend with Shelley and our best friend Margaret at Lake Havasu. Our first airplane trip to Palm Springs on Spring Break to visit our friend Margaret who had just moved. What a great memory we all made. Snow in Vegas memories at our favorite place to hang out -The Teen Center, taking Driver's training class together on weekends, Parents out of town weekends at my house where my Sisters Linda and Judy would be "the adults in charge" and would allow us to be crazy! A great memory at age 15 when we dressed up with gobs of makeup to look 21 with our friends Dee Dee and Nancy and went downtown for a fancy dinner in hopes of being served a glass of wine (yes, it worked)...what teenagers won't do for a thrill or to just try to get away with something! We took 3 years of typing class together in High School and would compete next to each other how fast we could type. Who in the world loves typing that much? We did! Sleeping in the grass hiding at the apartment complex across the street from High School and City bus all day trips around Vegas to avoid going to class. Running all the way to Macayo Vegas Mexican Restaurant for after school chips and salsa. If Shelley and I not had each other in those last days of High School I don't think we would have made it to Graduation...but GRADUATE together we did indeed! Then came the calmer grown adult years...we were each others Maid of Honors in one another's weddings, baby showers and sharing births of our first babies together. The years we were friends/sisters are precious. The memories and love I have for my friend Shelley will forever stay in my heart. I am so thankful for all the precious memories I have with my friend and knowing I will one day be able to see her again and spend eternity with my precious friend is a gift I have yet to open. And a gift on that day it will certainly be!

You were a precious gift from god above, so much beauty, grace and love. You touched our hearts in so many ways; your smile so bright even on the bad days. You heard gods whisper calling you home, you didnt want to go and leave us alone. You loved us so much, you held on so tight till all the strength was gone and you could no longer fight. He had called your name twice before, you knew you couldnt make him wait anymore. So you gave your hand to god and slowly drifted away knowing that with all our love, we will be together again someday.
