Sherron was My Grade 8 German teacher, and totally inspired me with her passion for German literature and film and language. I remember her as being enthusiastic and approachable, unlike most of the teachers of that era, taking us to German verse competitions at Queensland Uni and introducing us to German school on Saturdays at St Brigids, Red Hill. I am sad i never got meet her again . Thank you Sherron.

I can still see Sherron walking large groups of people from Enterprise to SCAAB and Springvale Neighbourhood House. She often worked with four or five interpreters at a time with these groups to provide them with the essential information they needed to begin their lives in Australia. A tireless worker for human rights. Fond memories Sherron Heather Duggan past Coordinator Springvale Neighbourhood House

Working in the same office as Sherron for a year at The Women's I was always impressed by her ability to be having phone conversations with a client, a nurse and myself all at the one time (as well as eating lunch)! - Sherron had an unmatched ability to get to the heart of social-work systems-advocacy, to relentlessly pursue the best possible outcome for her clients, to cut through the fancy social work jargon & technique to get to the heart of our mission: social justice for those who had little voice. I shall miss her old-school ways in our ever-burgeoning managerialist social work culture. I shall also miss her cheeky sense of humour and her meandering stories of life and her passion for bad junk food like me!

It's been a long time since I saw her last, Sherron was never far from my thoughts. When I worked alongside her, my mentor, it was hard to keep up, but she always held out a hand to me, as she did with the countless most disadvantaged. Inspiration in every passionate glint in her knowing eyes. Outspoken, she listened. A quiet, raging soul. Fighter of justice and of good things. Vale Sherron Dunbar, my friend.

Sherron was a tireless and dedicated worker who thought of others more than herself. A devoted mother to Amy and joyful Oma to Ada, MIlly and Eve; a compassionate and unique woman who I will miss, but always value as a loyal and loving friend.
