I grew up on Norfolk Island, and was a young girl when Silas Horton and his young wife went to the island appointed as the Anglican minister. I looked up to them as they reached out to the youth on the island. I taught Sunday School alongside them and was there to say goodbye when his lovely wife died in childbirth. He carried on and raised young Judith whilst still conducting his duties on the island. Someone with such courage and love - this was Silas. Deepest Sympathy to the family. It is with such sadness that I read of his passing today some 12 months later.Farewell Silas rest in peace.

a very caring man who went out of his way to listen and be there for all people as a friend when all else had failed them. His legacy lives on through those he touched in his lifes journey. It was a wonderful memorial service. Greg

You will never be forgotten, you will always be loved, you left a huge whole that can never be replaced, My heart aches for you. My life will never be the same without you. There is God and then there is you, my darling husband.
