Sir Leslie was one of the most gentlest men I have ever met. Always impeccable in appearance and demeanour. It was a priviledge to have known him and to send him and the family away on their holidays. I will miss him and his wit. Deepest sympathy to Lady Elizabeth and family

Leslie was more than one of the country's best business leaders. He was a benchmark for the best and most honourable and honest business practice. He taught me what was right. He taught me the power of of loyalty and that doing it the right way was as important as being successful. But he also knew how to make it all enjoyable too. His sense of humour was unmatched. I will always treasure his wonderful "old guy' jokes. And as an old guy himself he always said that "if he knew he was going to live this long he would have taken better care of himself". Priceless. I'll miss you Sir Leslie.

How wonderful it is for me to have treasured memories of Leslie. Our travels with he and Elizabeth, our many Race days together, and meals shared will be in my thoughts until it is my turn to take the journey he has now taken. Fond thoughts and sympathy to Elizabeth and family. Gail Mangset ( previously Cruickshanks )
