I often thought of my Uncle Steve on a par with John Chapman (Johnny Appleseed) who became famous for planting numerous apple trees as he wandered the byways of the early American frontier. One could nickname Uncle Steve, Passion Fruit Steve – it seems his love for passion fruit compelled him to start vines where he saw fit. RIP Uncle Steve! --Peter Murtough
