When i met steve's ex passenger Andy Smith in Australia and he told me he was a sidecar racer i thought he was winding me up! We met back up at Cadwell Park and i realised they were the business. In 2003 at The Isle Of Man T.T. courtesy of Steve Norbury, Team Lockside Racing , and steve and Andy's families i had one of the most thrilling weeks of my life. It was awesome to be so close to the T.T. experience. An absolute privilege. I find it difficult to believe i attended Steve's funeral yesterday. R.I.P. Steve. Steve Clark.
i did not know steve personally, my husband spent some time with him. i love this sport and i am deeply saddened by its loss. my heart goes out to all of his family and friends. this is a wonderful sport. but this just reminds people how very dangerous it is. take care & god bless.
I remember Steve from when I started sidecar racing in '96. We were always welcomed by Steve, Jim, Adele, Marie, Charlie and Reece. We had some great battles on the track in F2's and then F1's especially the battle at Donnington Park where Paul and I were leading Steve and Andy and we kept running the chair wheel into a muddy puddle just off the left hander of Starkeys Bridge. Lap after lap we showered Steve and Andy in mud and stones. Needless to say Steve passed us with two laps to go to take third but Paul and I will never forget how they looked in the parc ferme, covered in mud. Needless to say, we will never forget you and the sidecar paddock won't be the same again. Always a gentlemen with never a bad word to say about anyone (except maybe us on occassion but always in good fun!) Our thoughts are with Jim , Adele and the family and of course, with Sally. With love Richard, Tara, Harriett and Charlotte Gatt.
rest in peace steve you will be a great loss to sidecar racing and thank's for giving me the opportunity of being a passenger for you also our thought's go out to the rest of the family. guy scott macclesfield cheshire

very sad news to the sport will be missed
Very cold saturday afternoons spent stood around the Cas high school rugby pitch, in rain, wind, sleet and snow, watching a bunch of fellas playing a game with an odd shaped ball!! You were one of the Healdfield Team Steve and although we were well aware that this was not where your heart laid, you still gave 100% in a sport that you couldn't go at high speed!! We are unsure as to if you enjoyed the sport however the beer drinking competitions and laughs were a bonus at the end of the game. Steve, you went on to bigger and better things and probably bigger hangovers. Our thoughts are with your family and to Sally your fiance. God Bless mate. Rip Heartfelt Condolences. Heather and David McGrath and family
