Thomas Maffew, It's still so unreal to me that today marks one year, and breaks my heart that I cannot be in Ohio to see you. Words can't describe how much I miss you. Tommy, The last time I wrote you, it was 5 days before your accident, and I wrote that I love you and that, "you are my favorite"......as you always will be. I have never been on a cite like Myspace to view any of the comments that everyone has left you, but today I joined Facebook and I came across this. Of course, today is the 5th of December..... the number 5 is significant here (you seem to always play with the numbers). I really can't even tell you how much I miss you. Even though I still talk to you everyday, and I know you already know all of this, I just can't seem to stop the physical ache in my heart. When I saw this dolphin icon it reminded me of when you came to visit me in VA and you bought me this dolphin statue, because you knew how much I like them. I still have it and I think of you and smile every time I look at it. Our parents really miss you and sometimes I think our hearts will never heal. My only prayer is that wherever you are that you feel how much everyone loves you, because you are so very loved and the only comfort to me through this whole thing is that the gift of love is everlasting.
