I knew John since 1984/5 a good mate of mine invited him on a day out with myself and other friends and with the members of the first band he was in called the bottomless pits, i didn't really say much to him on that day,but after that we used to go and watch him perform at the Sydney rowers club, that's when i got to know John or (Billy) as i used to call him, he was such a genuine great person always going at a hundred miles an hour, in 1986 i moved to Tamworth and didn't see John for awhile spoke on the phone the odd time and Gibbo used to tell me how Billy was going, I worked on a property for that time in Tamworth and use to play guitar fairly good back then and one time i was on the phone to Billy and started playing the start of one of his hit songs My Little Angel, Well before the end of that week he had sent me up all the sheet music of his both hits,in bass, drums, guitar and lyrics.i was in a duo with another dude that played key boards "we were just a backyard deal" that sounded half ok, by the end of 1994 Billy came up with some other friends so we ended up having a jam in the woolshed at "Dalblair" for at least a few hours, doing his classic hits and gary moores "still got the blues for you" which he nailed it note perfect, did others like house of the rising sun, gloria, and plenty of AC/DC songs wich just came over absolutely brilliant, the key board player wanted to bring his reel to reel to record that jam but i wasn't sure how Billy would have reacted so i said no,that was the last time i saw billy but always asked my mate in Sydney how he was, I have some e-mails of Billy just before he died, and he didn't look well, but i'll always remember that he was a million miles an hour with such a great voice, and a great person to have a beer with, full of fun.....Your up there talking to Bon again mate........Bow...

♥ I was a huge fan. When I was 15, myself and my friend Karen went to see William perform near "The Teardrop Fountain" at Roselands Shopping centre. There were a lot of fans there singing along. A few years later I had my daughter, and I used to play "My little Angel" for her... she loved it. She's now 28. My favourite song was "Can't live without you"! Over the next few years I saw William performing at local RSL Clubs and each time we would wait after the show to talk to him. On one occasion, William gave my mum 2 of the rings he wore. She still has them to this day! It's so sad how his life changed for the worst...he should have been a big, big star...He was in my eyes and still is and I'm now 50... You can shed tears that he is gone Or you can smile because he lived. You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back Or you can open your eyes and see all he left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see him Or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him and only that he is gone Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, Be empty and turn your back Or you can do what he would want: Smile, open your eyes, love and go on. ✞ R.I.P...One more ★ in Heaven.xx ♥
