I have several memories of my dad .... - My childhood best friend asked for my hand in marriage at the age of 8yrs and my dad treated the situation with respect rather than laughter - Dad's favourite holidays were when the whole family would pile into the car and travel to dad's destination .....more often than not we had to go further than where dad wanted us to be because we never made a booking EVER!!!! - Dad never swore as he repected women and would never intentially disrespect any person. I only ever heard dad swear once when driving and he said f&%$. I was totally lost for words and said D.A.D. to which he replied i said DUCK .... (yeah right). - my dad was a very religious person and practised his faith religiously. He had bowel cancer when i was doing the HSC in 85 .... and i am now 42 in 2011. Dad helped out at various religious institutions and went 2 church every week to pray for his family and friends. - My dad was my best friend .... he was always there with an opinion when i asked and a shoulder when i needed it.
